After two years of being staged virtually, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Feast of Lights 2022 concert will usher in the holiday season with an in-person staging, this Sunday, December 4, 2022, at the Gymnatorium on Northern Caribbean University’s Mandeville Campus, at 5:30 p.m. The theme for this year’s event is Jesus the Christ Child – Child of Hope and Peace, Part 2.
This year’s staging will see performances from internationally renowned performing groups like the Haverford Singers from the United States and the Croydon SDA Gospel Choir from the United Kingdom. Local performers include The Cherub Choir, The Shahaye Choir, The NCU Chorale, The Foster Triplets and the Jamaica Constabulary Force Band.
At the event there will also be the announcement of lifetime achievement awards for outstanding work to the development of music at Northern Caribbean University and by extension, the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
Proceeds from this year’s staging will again go toward the ongoing renovation of the building that houses the Department of Music and Fine Arts, musical equipment and accessories as well as scholarships for students of the department.
The concert is a paid event and will be staged in-person. Cost for tickets is JMD$3,000 and JMD$1,000 for students with ID as well as for children. Persons residing overseas who cannot attend the event physically have the option of watching the event on the Northern Caribbean University YouTube Channel or on NCU TV’s YouTube channel.
