The Morris Entrepreneurship Centre at Northern Caribbean University (NCU) is pleased to share that students from the institution recently participated in the GP Innovation Final Competition, held on November 29, 2023, at the Pegasus Hotel in Kingston. This competition brought together finalists from universities across Jamaica, all showcasing outstanding and innovative business ideas. We are thrilled to announce that James Barrett, a talented NCU Computer Science Student emerged as the winner of the competition!!

James was awarded the first place after an astounding presentation of his “I-Learn” Application which is designed to assist CSEC and CAPE students prepare for examinations using Artificial Intelligence. The first-place prize was a cash award of $500,000.00 and linkages to potential investors.

The Morris Entrepreneurship Centre continues to foster and nurture the spirit of entrepreneurship on our NCU campuses and works with students from all disciplines to develop and commercialize business ideas.
